FAA SAFETY TEAM: FAAST

FAAST is an acronym for the FAA Safety Team, which is a program run by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to improve aviation safety through education and outreach. It provides resources like online courses, safety briefings, and training to pilots, mechanics, and others in the aviation community to promote a positive safety culture.

How to start, how to keep going.

If you've never been to the FAA safety website, please do so and enroll. Enrollment is free.

www.faasafety.gov

Once you are enrolled, you will have the option in taking thousands of different online courses. Most are free, as you work you way to the bottom of the list, courses like the FIRC will cost money.

If you are currently in flight training, you can send your flight lesson flights to a FAAST representative and they will credit the flight towards the WINGS program. You can use completed phases to count towards your flight review and other things.

If you are already participating in the WINGS program and you are a Flight Instructor, you can become a FAAST Rep and go around your community giving seminars and classes.

Please reach out to info@dpecasey.com if you have any questions about the program.
